KRM Unified Consultants is a Singapore-based professional structural engineering design consultancy practice founded by Dr. K. Murugappan in 2019. He graduated with a M. Sc in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, and Ph.D in civil engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His goal is to build a thriving environment for future generations and communities to grow. The firm endeavours to deliver innovative design solutions to realize building and infrastructure projects it undertakes safely and efficiently. This has manifested in Dr Murugappan’s professional design consultancy contributions to multiple projects pivotal in the shaping of various cities regionally. His area of specialist expertise includes Pot-Tensioning, Controlled Demolition and Underpinning. He has personally undertaken many projects both in Singapore and in the region, since 1994. These include challenging projects such as the National Bank of Cambodia at Phnom Penh, Sentosa Monrail, Pasir Panjang semi-expressway, Tanjong Rhu Condominum & MND headquarters in Singapore, Sule Square in Yangon and Power plant for Sumitomo Corporation in Indonesia.
